IGP Pays d’Hérault
PRESENTATION AND TERROIR
We always start harvesting with the Muscat Petits Grains. It is such a pleasure to work in our sunny terraced vineyards at dawn, see the grape pickers relish the sight of the golden grapes and smell the intense tropical aromas that start to fill the winery during pressing. Like the forbidden fruit it is named after, it is so gratifying, it shouldn’t be allowed! Afterwards we blend it with the Grenache to retain its wonderful freshness.
40% Muscat Petits Grains, 60% Grenache blanc
WINEMAKING AND AGEING
White Fruit Défendu is a blend of our Muscat Petits Grains which are always harvested very early on, in around mid-August, and our Grenache blanc with its typical abundant freshness and balance. The grapes are pressed slowly and at very low pressure, the juice is cold settled naturally then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. All the grapes are picked by hand.
Let yourself be carried away by the intense aromas of the Muscat and amazed by the freshness of the Grenache. Drink as an aperitif or with asparagus.
